County commissioners vote today on a revised plan to drop Election Day sites from 316 (2022) to 224 and trim early-voting locations. Officials cite low-turnout sites, cost, and staffing. Democrats and activists call it suppression; prior meetings saw protests, chamber clear-outs, and arrests.

A Dallas County commissioner candidate highlights multiple polling places at Islamic centers (including sites in Richardson, Garland, Carrollton, and Irving). He accuses the incumbent of using them as a political tool.
