America’s national debt just smashed through $40 trillion for the first time — a milestone reached in part because of the massive, botched COVID spending binge that added trillions under both Trump and Biden. Interest costs now exceed $1 trillion a year and the trajectory is unsustainable.
At the same time, an unearthed 2023 sermon from Texas Senate Democrat James Talarico shows him telling a congregation “God is not a Christian,” attacking Christian nationalism, and claiming a truly Christian nation would forgive student debt and guarantee healthcare for everyone.
