CLANCY JURY DEADLOCKED, DEFENSE RACES TO STOP MISTRIAL | HUMAN EVENTS DAILY

View descriptionShare

Jack Posobiec is live on Human Events Daily with Lynden Blake and Evita Duffy.

The Lindsay Clancy jury is hung for a third time after seven days and more than 36 hours. Jurors sent another note saying, with a “heavy heart,” they cannot reach a unanimous verdict.

Judge William Sullivan said he would declare a mistrial. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington is racing an emergency stay to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court before that becomes final. Reports point to an 11-1 split and a fight over a holdout juror.

Clancy is charged in the 2023 killings of her three children in Duxbury. The jury had to choose among first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, not guilty, or not guilty by reason of insanity. A hung jury means no verdict — and prosecutors can still retry the case.

Should a deadlocked jury end the Clancy case in a mistrial — or do voters still want a verdict before November?
