House Judiciary, Oversight, and Administration committees released a third interim report alleging ActBlue used weak passport checks, told staff to give donors “the benefit of the doubt,” and later saw its legal/compliance team collapse after 2024. Republicans say foreign money slipped through and evidence was withheld. ActBlue calls it a political stunt and points to a third-party review. Jim Jordan is in the middle of the probe.

Prime Minister Mark Carney addressed the European Parliament after Ursula von der Leyen floated making Canada the EU’s first “associate member.” Carney pitched deep cooperation on minerals, defense, AI, energy, and space. Trump called the move potentially “hostile” and warned of heavy tariffs on Europe. Is Ottawa biting off more than it can chew?
