2022 Australian of the Year | In conversation with Sue and Lloyd Clarke

View descriptionShare
The Australian of the Year Award recognises Australians who have made significant contributions and created positive change.
For over 212 years, Australia Post has been at the heart of Australian communities, connecting them with each other and the world. Beyond parcels, letters, and services we're also connecting people through stories of hope, resilience and community service. We’re thrilled to recognise the incredible Australian of the Year Award, state and territory recipients who make such a profound contribution to their communities and the nation.
We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the state and territory award recipients for 2022. In this Australian of the year series, we had the opportunity to be in conversation with each of these amazing people and this story of hope, resilience and true human nature is but one of them.
In this episode of Ready to Retail, we continue our ‘In Conversation’ series with Sue and Lloyd Clarke, winners of the 2022 Queensland, Australian of the Year Award.
Sue and Lloyd have made it their personal mission to educate Australians on domestic violence and champion for coercive control laws to be enacted across Australia. They talk to us about the rewards of running Small Steps 4 Hannah, misconceptions around domestic violence and what brings them hope.
They also discuss what coercive control is and how we can recognise the signs of coercive control in a relationship and be there to support and take action.
If you’d like to know more about Small Steps for Hannah, we encourage you to visit the website HERE
Australia Post is category sponsor of the Australian of the Year Award and We’re proud to partner with the National Australia Day Council and showcase the inspiring stories of remarkable everyday Australians.
