The Fresno/Clovis community stands to join the nation and thank a Veteran during the National Vietnam War Veterans Day event. Clovis Veterans Memorial District encourages community members to attend and enjoy the activities of the day. The “Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017" was signed into law by President Trump to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Organizations at the Federal, State, and Local levels participate in this annual celebration held on March 29th to recognize Vietnam Veterans. A 2022 study found that youth who identify as transgender are at the highest risk of “violent radicalization.”
