The former sheriff of Fresno County, Margaret Mims, has been endorsed by Fresno County Supervisor Buddy Mendes to replace him in the next election. Mendes announced in a press conference on Wednesday that he will not be running in 2026. He wants to use his retirement to catch up at home.
