The Oscars had more drama than the films it was honoring. But despite all the press and social media call-outs, there were some things that went unnoticed. Except for with Bethenny, and she's ready to tell you what she thinks about them!
So people have been talking about Nicole Kidman and that she looked strange at the Oscars. What pressure this life is? What pressure these awards shows are? I mean they make they can make your business, They can get you fashion deals. You go out there, you spend all this time. You gears are gone to Coole Kidman, who I think is perfect in so many ways. She got had like that flashback or whatever you call it from like the white powder, the HD powder under the eyes. And I have been there where I've gone, and I've tried, and I've had makeup, but it's not been like the most expensive makeup like a glad person. And then I get there and I look like shit and I regret it or I have done my own makeup and then I feel like shit, I would you know? So you try to elevate it and even still everybody does everything right and you get there and then there's a hair stuck in your face or your sleeve wasn't the way, and it's just what a pressure? So anyway, and also the Internet is starting to tell me how to feel about something. So I did a take on TikTok about Hugh Grant, who I used to serve at a restaurant called Cloth Futee on Sunset Boulevard in la and he was always friendly, but a little reserved, a little cold. I think he's like that. So all over the internet they were talking about him being rude to Ashley Graham. But when I first saw the interview, my first instinct of that one question, not the whole thing, that Ashley Graham wasn't that informed, she wasn't asking good question, she wasn't doing a great job as an interviewer. So that was like my first thought, wasn't the Hugh Grant was rude? I did hear the overall interview, and yes, he was reserved in cold, but if you listen to what he was saying, he was being very literal in his answers, like yes no, or that he didn't give do or any favors. Don't get me wrong, and she was rying, but she didn't do him any favors because he is a little bit of a curmudgeon and he is that kind of reserved brit And so in my comments, it was right down the middle. Some people were like he was a dick, he was rudy knows he's not a red carpet that's Piers Morgan's take, which was shocking, and then other people were like she was a terrible interview when the questions were terrible, which I also agree with. But the point I'm trying to make is that I just saw the clip and made my own decision of what I thought. Then the internet speaks, and now you're thinking what the internet thinks, like you're supposed to think what everybody else thinks, meaning they're skewing you, which is crazy when it's time for elections and voting, because what people are saying, we'll skew you to think something to then go vote. So TikTok is becoming this kind of news delivery system, citizen journalism. They're calling it, where I'm thinking that somebody was rude, that I don't necessarily think it was rude, And everybody went crazy on Hugh Grant for being terse and direct and not doing Ashley Remedy favors. But he didn't, like I said, and my Grant, take her top off, tell to fuck herself. He he was Q Grant, He kind of was who he is. So I first saw Nicole Kidman looking a little alien like and turning and putting her leg out in the dress. I thought the dress was gorgeous. I thought she was gorgeous, and I got and everybody the internet has spoken now and that she looks crazy and she must have been on something. And I only saw one clip of her turning her head and it was weird, Like it was like, but isn't everybody weird. That's not a red carpet. You're like so awkwardly trying to get them to get the best shot, so you'll make weird moves and purse your lips and do things. And he seemed like he was madly in love with her. And everyone's talking about the way Keith Urban looks at her. And so then it turns and now on the world specific she's on something and she's crazy. And my friend was on the phone and she was like, did you see Nicole Kidman. I'm like, yeah, why, And she's like, oh my god, she looks so old, like I didn't think she looked old, Like I don't know what did Nicole Kimman do wrong? I just want to understand, like, what did she do wrong? She's had surgery, like everybody's so lentless. Mindy Kaling is wearing a sexy dress, and she's lost weight, but not evidently in the way that everybody wanted her to lose weight. If in fact she did ozempic, that doesn't align with the people who probably called her overweight and trolled her that wanted her to lose weight, but she didn't get the memo about exactly how they wanted her to lose weight. So everyone's mad at her now, But the means by which she chose to lose weight and who cares? And it's not her responsibility to do things in the way that people want her to do it in it's not her responsibility because she didn't sign a contract with these people, and she's not their family member, like because if Mindy Kaling does something wrong or says something inappropriate, they're going to cancel her because they're not family members, so they don't she doesn't owe it to them. And then where's the line of transparency. Are the Kardashian's supposed to not edit out a bone in their bodies and edit a child into their pictures? Like that feels like a line. Are they allowed to like do some filtering and you know, do that stuff. I guess everything doesn't have to be perfectly pure. I guess that ship has sailed because everyone's wearing makeup and we get botox and surgery and lasers and all that stuff. So like, where's the line? And you have to tell everybody every single thing? Am I supposed to go to the dermatologist and get botox in my jaw and in my forehead or if I do fill or if I want to plump my lips? Am I supposed to tell everybody everything? I was supposed to make a big phone call and an announcement because who wants that? You don't want that for your kids, You don't want that, you don't want to be the spokesperson of it. I just think there's a line, Like there's a place between Kim Kardashian and her family taking body parts and bones and their ankles and hands looking distorted and editing children into photos and Paulina who will never do anything from plastic surgery and who will never post a filter picture in her life and is totally out there. There could be a middle ground, right, you know? I know housewives, And if I take a picture on my phone of myself and the housewives, we don't look the same as if they take a picture of us, and they post it or send it to me. We don't look the same. Some one's filtering. So sometimes I wonder, like, wouldn't I be so much more successful if I filtered everything? Like why don't you use a filter? Just say yeah, I filtered it. Who cares? You're gonna like my bathing suit pictures much more if they're filtered. You're gonna like my hot out at night pictures. If I look perfect, that's when people like. So it's hard to drive the balance. But I don't think a Dell or mindycaling need to lose weight in a way that people approve of, like she doesn't. They don't owe them that and whatever. However, Kyle lost her weight if she stopped drinking and she works out two hours a day, and like she said, she doesn't take those empics, so take her a face value, and maybe you think she took the other stuff. And it seems like it's bothering you because it feels to you like a short cut when it seems like she's working out hours a day. But even if it was a shortcut, what the fuck would it have to do with you? You can go lose weight, you have access to lose weight. You have access to it being a short cut. You can read articles on reducing sugar and carbs and drinking and calories in and calories out. Everyone's fucking mad because they're probably jealous. It's annoying. Wow, if Kyle looks great now, or you know Mindy Kaling abandoned you because you feel like you identify with her more, or Adele because you felt like she was one of you, Like you figure out your own shit. Mindy Kaling lost way for herself. Kyle lost way for herself, and she's on TV and she wants to pose and flax and that's her own body and her own business. And Adele and anybody else lost waiter did what the fuck they wanted for themselves. They don't owe you an explanation for everything. There's a level of transparency of like amount of fucking you know, bold faced liar. But everybody isn't owe you minute to minute when they have sex with their husband, when they're being cheated on or cheating what their fucking bank account is. So like, where's the line of sharing everything and transparency? Where is that line? What's going on with the sexy leg competition at Awards shows like remember Angelina Jolie awkwardly stuck her you know, sinewy tone the leg out and that was like that was like made fun of in the Internet sensation. Well, Halle Berry's doing it, Nicole Kidman's doing it. Like you know, you just like get a slit, stick your leg out and you're guaranteed to be talked about. The pictures are gonna run like what is going on with the weirdo? Like for sexy Leg, I'm wearing a skirt that has a slit. Next week, I'm gonna I'm gonna sexy leg competition. It
