The medical profession has benefited greatly in recent years with are broad array of digital tools which help specialist practitioners innovate, learn, collaborate with each other and communicate with patients.

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, in collaboration with the Australian Digital Health Agency, has developed digital health resources to enable Fellows, Trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates to better understand digital health initiatives, including My Health Record.

To discuss the practical benefits of digital health tools are:

Dr Jill Tomlinson – plastic and reconstructive surgeon, based in Melbourne. She was the chair of the Australian Digital Health Agency Toolkit working group.

Dr Pecky De Silva – a vascular surgeon who runs a private practice in Sydney. She is the chair of the Younger Fellows Committee at RACS and is involved in developing resources to assist RACS Fellows in navigating digital tools.
