(00:00-24:14) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison talking about the return of the NFL last night with Seattle topping New England fueled by Drake Maye’s mistakes. Jake compares what we saw from the Seahawks to the Colts roster construction and playstyle. They also touch on how teams need to get their players more opportunities in preseason to knock off rust because of how hard it was to watch last night’s game.

(24:14-40:51) – The voice of the Indianapolis Colts, Matt Taylor, joins Jake Query to preview Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Jake asks Matt to list his biggest positive takeaway from training camp and preseason, identifies Cam Bynum as a player that has a really cool story that they should root for this season, and believes that the Ravens have to gameplan as if Alec Pierce is 100% even though he might not be.

(40:51-1:07:56) – Mac Engel from the Fort Worth Star Telegram in Texas joins Jake Query to preview this weekend’s big college football matchup between Texas/Ohio State and talk about the nature of college athletics. They dive into Arch Manning’s development from his start last year against the Buckeyes to today, and if Cooper Manning is a helicopter parent. Lastly, they discuss how the NCAA needs to get in control of eligibility and NIL because it is ruining the interest level.

(1:07:56-1:21:47) – Trey Kaufman-Renn was granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA yesterday as he attempts to receive one more year of eligibility. Jake admits that he was not surprised by the decision yesterday and predicts that this situation will bleed all the way up to the start of the college basketball season.

(1:21:47-1:23:58) – Jake and Eddie conclude the hour by talking a little bit of music by highlighting a song that they really like the first part of it, but loses energy as it goes on.

(1:23:58-1:48:07) – The final hour of Query & Company with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing last night’s NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. Do NFL teams need to start playing their players more in preseason to avoid sluggish performances like last night. Lastly, Jake is in need of fashion advice for an event that he has tonight.  

(1:48:07-2:05:02) – Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame joins Query & Company to recap last night’s game between the Seahawks and Patriots and his thoughts on the Indianapolis Colts. Their conversation starts by discussing the Josh Jacobs news that just came out and then shift to Verderame’s confidence in the Colts defense based off of talent they’ve invested in. Finally, they get into how hard it is to develop depth in the NFL because of the size of contracts now.
