(00:00-23:46) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison welcoming Jake back to work after a week off traveling the world. Jake and Jimmy share some of their thoughts on the Colts not making a move yesterday at the trade deadline. Jake highlights some of the selection Chris Ballard has made in the third, fourth, and fifth rounds in connection with no moves being made despite the change in approach for the team moving forward.
(23:46-32:46) – After focusing on the Indianapolis Colts in the first segment, Jake and Jimmy focus on the Indiana Pacers in the second segment of today’s show. Jake wonders if Tyrese Haliburton is starting to return to pre-hamstring injury form after his performance in Dallas. Jimmy shares his opinion on that thought and then Eddie provides a perspective that doesn’t receive a lot of attention.
(32:46-40:29) – Hour number one concludes with Jake sharing some of his favorite parts from his vacation in Ireland and Scotland. Jimmy and Eddie ask him a couple questions about his trip.
(40:29-1:04:12) – The second hour of the program starts with Jake presenting Eddie and Jimmy with their gifts from his vacation. Jeremiah Johnson from FanDuel Sports Network joins Query & Company to evaluate how Tyrese Haliburton has performed as of late, assesses the consistency of Bennedict Mathurin this season besides the two games where his minutes were cut, tries to predict what Rick Carlisle will do with the starting lineup when Aaron Nesmith is cleared to return to play from his ankle sprain, and shares his thoughts on how the Pacers will eventually address their lack of depth behind Myles Turner.
(1:04:12-1:15:48) – Following their conversation with Jeremiah Johnson, Jake and Jimmy revisit a debate from a couple weeks ago. The debate was about which player people will have a definitive answer on their future first between Anthony Richardson and Jarace Walker.
(1:15:48-1:22:55) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Jimmy discussing Indiana’s ranking yesterday in the College Football Playoff. They debate if a one-loss IU team would have enough on its resume to make the CFP. Additionally, they both believe if they lose to Michigan, but beat Ohio State, Curt Cignetti’s team is in the College Football Playoff.
(1:22:55-1:46:36) – Bob Kravitz joins Jake Query and Jimmy Cook on Query and Company this afternoon to share why he believes the Indianapolis Colts didn’t make a move yesterday prior to the NFL Trade Deadline. Additionally, he opines on whether the Colts actually benched Anthony Richardson because he is injured but they don’t want to admit it, states that the Colts will eventually go back to Richardson because he thinks the Joe Flacco experience has an expiration date and evaluates the performance of the players around the QB position with the team not being better with, or without, Richardson quarterbacking the team.
(1:46:36-1:59:02) – Jake and Jimmy rehash their thoughts on Anthony Richardson and Chris Ballard. They discuss the awkward situation that the Indianapolis Colts are in right now with benching Richardson and how it can be what gets Chris Ballard fired.
(1:59:02-2:01:55) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in the studio to preview his show!
