View descriptionShare

(00:00-26:20) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing if they were aware that the ESPYs were last night before seeing posts on social media. Additionally, they debate on how they are moving out of the target demographic for the SportsCenter audience.

(26:20-41:07) – With the Indiana Pacers set to play their first Summer League game tonight in Las Vegas against the Brooklyn Nets, Jake and Jimmy discuss what they want to see from Jarace Walker and Ben Sheppard. They also discuss how many games they anticipate Walker and Sheppard play.

(41:07-48:21) – Hour one concludes with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie for advice on how to preserve something from his childhood home that he wants to keep because his parents are putting their house on the market.

(48:21-1:16:59) – Pat Boylan, television face of the Indiana Pacers and sideline reporter for the Indiana Pacers Radio Network, joins Jake Query & Jimmy Cook ahead of the Fever game tonight against the Phoenix Mercury to preview that game. Pat also explains what happened on Wednesday afternoon against the Washington Mystics, weighs in on the decision from Christie Sides to change the starting lineup after defeating the New York Liberty, and labels Jarace Walker as the player with the most to prove in Summer League for the Pacers.

(1:16:59-1:30:50) – Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie shift their conversation to Paul Skenes with him being announced as the National League starter for the All-Star Game. They bring up his outing yesterday against the Milwaukee Brewers where he was removed from the game despite having a no-hitter through seven innings after throwing 99 pitches.

(1:30:50-1:32:34) – Jake and Jimmy close out the second hour of the program with Jake’s mom providing an update on the piece of Jake’s closet that he wants to preserve.

(1:32:34-1:58:11) – Tony East from Sports Illustrated, Locked on Pacers, and Forbes Sports joins the program from Las Vegas to preview his Summer League expectations for Jarace Walker, Ben Sheppard, and Johnny Furphy. He tries to predict what player could fall out of the rotation if Walker earns the opportunity to play consistently for the Pacers, and reacts to Jimmy’s “hot take” surrounding the future of Andrew Nembhard with Indiana.

(1:58:11-2:10:58) – As we do every Friday on Query & Company, Jake shares a feel good story with it being a Good For The Heart Friday sponsored by Franciscan Health. Jake has an IPS teacher call in to explain the program that a girl was in that led to her winning a competition while representing Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

(2:10:58-2:17:21) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing his JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie sharing a bet he likes, and everyone sharing what they are doing this weekend!
