(45:13-1:09:36) – Hour number two with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison kicks off by replaying the open from the start of the show and they continue discussing another historic win for the Indiana Hoosiers. Jake gives a lot of credit to Pam Whitten and Scott Dolson for how they bought into Curt Cignetti’s pitch during the hiring process to give him all the right ingredients to turn Indiana into the top college football team in two years.
(1:09:36-1:22:58) – Mike Niziolek from the Bloomington Herald Times makes an appearance on Query & Company to share some of his takeaways from IU’s dominating win over Alabama yesterday. Jake asks Mike what is different from his perspective between Oregon and Indiana since their meeting earlier in the season and what the most enjoyable part of the entire Rose Bowl experience was.
(1:22:58-1:31:09) – The second hour of the show concludes with Jake Query informing Eddie about what resume pad day is and asking him if he has any New Year’s resolutions. Eddie doesn’t want to reveal them, but Jake kept prying.
(1:31:09-1:59:43) – Tony East from Circle City Spin, Locked On Pacers, and Forbes Sports joins the show to discuss all things Pacers after briefly talking about IU’s win yesterday with him being an IU alumnus. Jake asks Tony about what he has heard thus far about some of the top players in the upcoming NBA Draft, assesses if we know what kind of player Jarace Walker is yet, and comments on what Rick Carlisle said following Wednesday’s game about petty nonsense that the team is dealing with.
(1:59:43-2:11:17) – James Boyd from The Athletic joins the show to round out today’s guest lineup to preview the regular season finale for the Colts against the Texans. Jake asks James if the Colts are going to give anyone more playing time on Sunday to see how they perform in an expanded role, assesses how likely it is that Chris Ballard, Shane Steichen, Anthony Richardson, DeForest Buckner, and Alec Pierce will be back next season. Finally, Jake asks James if the focus of the Irsay daughters is on the football operations or other behind the scenes stuff.
(2:11:17-2:15:51) – Today’s show closes out with JMV joining Jake from Ralston’s Drafthouse off Mass Ave to preview his show and to poke fun at all the people who believe the SEC is the best of the best.
