Fever In Playoffs + Matt Gay & Josh Downs Updates!

View descriptionShare

(00:00-26:36) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison congratulating Jimmy on becoming a father and wishing Jake a happy birthday! They get into the news yesterday about Matt Gay dealing with a groin injury after his preseason struggles.

(26:36-40:37) – Last night the Indiana Fever clinched a playoff spot with losses from the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream. Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discuss the success that the Fever have had since their slow start.

(40:37-45:34) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie if they would rather hit a game deciding home run, win a game on a punt or kick return, or hit a game winning three-pointer in a regular season game.

(45:34-1:11:08) – Television face of the Indiana Fever, Pat Boylan, joins Query & Company to elaborate on the Fever clinching a playoff spot last night with Chicago and Atlanta losing, agrees with Jake that Aliyah Boston’s willingness to let Caitlin Clark take over a team that she was the face of speaks testament to the type of person she is, and assesses Jimmy’s point that it feels like the Indiana Fever are trying to change the way the WNBA game is played like the Golden State Warriors did once they drafted Steph Curry.

(1:11:08-1:31:22) – Senior writer for Colts.com and Colts PA voice, JJ Stankevitz, joins Jake Query & Jimmy Cook to provide an update on the Matt Gay situation with the Colts kicker speaking after practice, evaluates the likelihood of Josh Downs suiting up on limited reps this week in practice, and believes Adonai Mitchell is the guy that could become the guy that Anthony Richardson could targets late in games to get a first down in a critical situation.

(1:31:22-1:54:22) – IndyStar’s Zach Osterman joins Query & Company on a Wednesday to express his thoughts on Curt Cignetti’s complaints about the Indiana student’s leaving the game at halftime, believes there is a chance that Tayven Jackson could play in Friday night’s game against Western Illinois just to get him some reps against a live opponent, doesn’t think Donaven McCulley will suit up this week, and explains why Indiana got out of their contract with Louisville.

(1:54:22-2:08:50) – Earlier in the day, Matt Gay provided an update on his hernia. Jake and Jimmy converse about the future of the Colts kicker if Spencer Shrader fills in and has success. Additionally, they tease Eddie’s article about putting the Colts opponents in different categories.

(2:08:50-2:15:31) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in studio!
