Query & Company Rundown 7/27/26

(00:00-28:22) – Query & Company opens a Monday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison recapping their weekends. Jake starts the show by discussing the weekend events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and wondering what NASCAR can do to regain some of its fans attending races. He also previews the start of Wednesday’s training camp for the Indianapolis Colts.

(28:22-40:48) – Over the weekend, Shane Steichen was at Grand Park with ESPN broadcasting the flag football championship games. He joined ESPN before the games started yesterday and provided an update on Alec Pierce’s health heading into training camp. Something stood out in his response in Jake Query’s eyes.

(40:48-49:28) – Jake Query concludes the first hour of the show by connecting the Alec Pierce situation to Chris Ballard because there is a specific conversation that has happened before that Jake wants to bring back to light.

(43:27-1:16:13) – Big Ten Network host Dave Revsine joins Query & Company to preview Big Ten Media Days and preview the 2026 College Football season. What teams are going to be more improved compared to last season? How will Curt Cignetti follow up a historic season for Indiana filled with a lot of doubters? Can Barry Odum lead Purdue to more wins in year two?

(1:16:13-1:33:53) – GoldAndBlack.com's associate editor, Tom Dienhart, makes an appearance on Query & Company to preview year two underneath Barry Odom and provide an update on the athletic director search. Where has Purdue improved from last season on paper? Are the Boilermakers having issues with receiving NIL funds to improve the football program?  

(1:33:53-1:39:47) – Hour number two of Query & Company concludes with Jake Query sharing some more thoughts on the situation that the Indianapolis Colts are in with its fanbase when it comes to Alec Pierce’s return to play.

(1:39:47-2:07:07) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 & FOX59 joins Query & Company to preview the start of training camp for the Indianapolis Colts for one final time. Their conversation starts out by discussing quarterback battles in Colts history with Fernando Mendoza set to compete with Kirk Cousins for the Raiders QB1 job. Jake asks Mike for a couple of players that have the most to prove this season in his eyes and reacts to what Shane Steichen said about Alec Pierce’s ankle surgery recovery.

(2:07:07-2:25:37) – With the Indianapolis Colts set to report to Grand Park tomorrow for training camp, Jake and Eddie do another power POWER power rankings segment. The focus for today is on the top five Colts players that have the most to prove this season.
