Regional or city? That's always a big question for property investors, especially in Queensland. Troyson Bassani shares his insights.

Sticking close to the city was always preferred for many property investors ... until COVID hit. Then we saw an exodus to the regional areas, and that trend has stuck. 

For city centric property players push the capital concentration barrow, using employers return to work requirements to justify the story around the boomerang effect of people returning to the cities.

On the flip side, the continued tree change and sea change regional exodus to lifestyle, conveniently suits property players pushing a national borderless and regional approach.

So who is right? The answer: It depends.

It depends on why you're buying, what the property needs to achieve and what you can afford to buy.

I talk more about this through this week's episode, where Troyson Bassani joins again to share what he's learned about the pros and cons of regional markets especially in his home turf of regional Queensland.

Troyson is the Founder & Head of Research at Life Buyers Agency, who specialise in securing property in the north, central and south east Queensland regional property markets – opportunity areas that are getting a lot of increased attention in recent times.

To date, Troyson and his Life Buyers Agency have helped secure over $150 million dollars worth of property across the central Queensland region for intrastate, interstate and international buyers.

So this week we’re going to dig into Troyson’s personal journey, and then next week we’re going to deep dive into the pros and cons of regional markets and the role of buyers agents in these areas.
