In today’s episode Amberley, our breastfeeding expert, and I discuss the breast crawl. This is honesty a concept I knew very little about but it has now inspired me to try the breast crawl for my next baby as it sounds like such a physiological and magical experience.

We discuss:
The importance of the breast crawl and how to facilitate it straight after birth
Reasonable time frames to expect it to happen
When to ask for help
Breast crawl after a C-section
The importance of skin to skin and building up oxytocin after a C-section
Amberley’s personal experience with a C section birth versus a VBAC birth and whether she noticed any difference in her breastfeeding journey’s after such different birth experiences.
