Dirk Kempthorne was a Boise mayor, U.S. Senator, Idaho governor, a former Secretary of Interior - and a sports fan. He came up with the Governor's Trophy (Boise State-Idaho football rivalry), helped paved the way for a sports arena/professional sports in Downtown Boise, and loved to associate with some of the state's top athletic names (Jerry Kramer, Gary Stevens and former Olympians). Mark Snider, a Boise-based press secretary and communications director who worked with Kempthorne for several years, joins the show to share sports stories of Kempthorne's past.
