There is a general sense that traditional politics and representative democracy fails to attract the attention of young people. This is despite knowing that young people, historically, have been at the forefront of bringing about social and political change in pre and post-democracy eras. Various political parties have youth structures as an attempt to encourage youth leadership, however, has there been a significant contribution to youth development in our democracy by these youth leagues?
