South Africa sent a high-level delegation of senior police and government officials to Lesotho on Monday for urgent talks aimed at tackling escalating security concerns between the two neighbouring countries. The delegation, led by South African Police Service (SAPS) National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola, is in Maseru for bilateral discussions with Lesotho’s Police Commissioner, Advocate Borotho Matsoso, amid serious allegations of illegal Basotho military training camps operating within South African territory. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is in conversation with SAPS National Deputy Commissioner, LT-General Tebello, Mosikili, Retired SANDF LT-General , Maomela Motau and Crime and Security Expert, Willem Els.
