Vathasallum “Vivian” Reddy is a South African businessman, whose journey began in the early 1990s, coinciding with the end of Apartheid and Nelson Mandela's release. Hailing from KwaZulu-Natal from a three-bedroom house with nine children, Vivian dons multiple hats as the founder and chairman of Edison Power Group, a heavyweight in the electrical industry with further interests spanning casinos and hotels. His diverse business portfolio also extends to healthcare, finance, and property development as seen with his Radisson Blu Hotel in Umhlanga and the recent unveiling of the Oceans Mall. Outside of the world of business, Vivian champions causes like the Orphans of AIDS Trust Fund and contributes to initiatives such as the Wingen Heights Secondary School and a clinic in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality. He joins us as this week’s leadership guest.
