Others said that the then anticipated EFF #NationalShutdown protest had force the ANC’s hand to put pressure on Eskom to suspend planned power outages in hopes of lessening the potential blow of the strike. This despite Eskom’s statement on Friday that indicated a recovery in some generation capacity during the week.
