SADTU appeals for drop out pupils to be tracked and persuaded to return to school

The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (Sadtu) says it is deeply concerned about the school dropout rate in the country amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of pupils across the country returned to school for the third term of the academic year while primary school children are set to return to full-week attendance from today. Lukhona Mnguni speaks to the union's Mugwena Maluleke about this.
