South Africa started Phase 2 of its vaccine rollout programme yesterday – but mostly vaccinating healthcare workers, with some 60-year-olds and older people being vaccinated too. A large number of Pfizer vaccines are available, but only a fraction of the promised 3,000 sites where vaccines are to be administered were operational. In the next half hour we speak to various heads of these vaccination sites about how the first day of vaccination went and what targets are there to meet for the rest of the week.
