Since it first came out in 2002, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, written by award-winning actor and playwright John Kani, has become really popular and many people think of it as an important South African story. The play, which is all about families and how they can be really complicated, looks at what it was like for people who had to leave their home country during apartheid. The play depicts how some people gave up a lot, even their lives, to fight against apartheid and make their country free. But it also looks at what happened when those heroes came back to South Africa. The play, starring actor Sello Maake KaNcube, Mbali Nhlapo and Ziaphora Dakile is making a return at the Threatre on the Square in Sandton. Sello Maake KaNcube joins Lerato Mbele to tell us more about the play.
