The IDC is expected and is already playing a critical role in helping speed up government’s economic recovery plan. Among other tasks at hand is for the Corporation to augment its funding activities to businesses that have been impacted by Covid 19 and the subsequent lockdown. Both government and the IDC have identified Agriculture as one of the key sectors that is expected to play a critical role in augmenting economic recovery. The Agri Industrial Fund - recently launched by the IDC and the DALRRD is just one of the initiatives specifically designed to shore up as well as grow the economy.
