Tsakani Maluleke stands as a groundbreaking figure in audit leadership, with the distinction of being the first woman in the 109-year history of the supreme audit institution to hold the position. Before this role, she also made history as the inaugural female deputy Auditor General of South Africa. In addition to her professional achievements, Tsakani played a pivotal role in the Presidential Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Advisory Council. She led a subcommittee that developed recommendations for broad-based Black economic empowerment. As the former non-executive chairperson of the board at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), she has actively contributed to the progression of her field. These experiences collectively underscore her impactful contributions to her current role. She joins us for this week’s edition of the leadership dialogue.
