View descriptionShare

With over 25 years of professional experience, including 17 years at senior levels in both the public and private sectors, Sithembiso Freeman Nomvalo boasts an impressive career. He is the first African to serve as the Accountant-General of a democratic South Africa and holds the record for the longest tenure in this role. In 2002, Mr. Nomvalo collaborated with the Reserve Bank to address the banking crisis and rectify the accumulated losses within the Gold and Foreign Exchange Contingency Reserve Account. More recently, he played a vital role in the Ntsebeza Commission, investigating KPMG's practices primarily at SARS but also in other entities as the CEO of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

He joins Lerato Mbele as this week’s guest for the leadership dialogue.
