Puleng LenkaBula is a South African academic and university administrator. She is the first ever female vice-chancellor of the University of South Africa (UNISA). She is the first woman Academic, the first black woman and only the third black person to be appointed as the leader of Unisa. An African to the core, and of South Africa and Lesotho descent; her experience includes executive management roles in education, ecumenical, private, and civic sectors. Professor Puleng understands the intersections between disciplines, faculties, colleges, and knowledge systems at all levels of the local, continental, and global scale.
