After having developed her leadership skills and experience in the finance sector, Mpumi Madisa earned her way as the first black female CEO in the JSE top 40 companies in South Africa. Madisa even earned praise from SA President Cyril Ramaphosa, hailing her accomplishment as a victory for women in the business world. Today, Madisa leads Bidvest, a South African services and distribution company with nearly 130,000 employees and a $5.3 billion market cap. Bidvest operates in a range of business sectors including financial services, pharmaceuticals and freight management.
