Today is International Women’s Day and one of the themes this year is gender equality in innovation and technology, under the banner “DigitALL”. According to UN Women, women only make up 22% of artificial intelligence workers globally, while a global analysis of 133 AI systems across industries has shown that 44.2% demonstrate a bias. Meanwhile, gender equality and equity continue to hang in the balance across various industries in the world. Joining Lerato Mbele to speak about prominent issues that are plaguing women across the world is Molline Marume, programmes specialist at UN Women's South Africa Multi-country office.
