International Nurses Day is observed on May 12 every year. The day comes amid a horrific coronavirus pandemic, where nurses have been frontliners and in many cases have been the ones to suffer trauma from the death of their colleagues and many of those who died in the fight against the virus. In the next half hour we take some time with two nurses, Zandile Ntsondo and Matron Violet Ramalapa and reflect on the past year and what the day means for nurses in the country.
