Aqua Air Africa (Pty) Ltd is an atmospheric water generation technology company that uses technology that extracts humidity from the 2.6% in the atmosphere and safely process it to produce premium quality drinking water. The Garankuwa based company produces about 10 000 ∙/d of water from the air, which is then bottled for consumption. The droplet formation on the condenser is influenced by the properties of the surface-cover material, such as surface roughness and chemical heterogeneities. The liquid droplets fall onto collection trays and are channeled into raw-water storage tanks. The treatment process consists of three-stage filtration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection.
