Kabelo Mabalane’s life story is one that became well-known when he was a member of famous Kwaito trio “TKZee”. In the year 2000 he went on to release his debut studio album called “Everybody Watching” which went platinum just a few weeks after its release, selling 100 000 copies. His second studio album “Rebel with a Cause” also went platinum and sold 130 000 copies. The success of the album also saw Kabelo winning a South African Music Award in 2003 and the Kora Award for Best Southern African Male Artist in 2004. His story is not only about music though, its also about running the Comrades Marathon three times, its about co-owning an independent music company called Faith Records, performing at the 2010 Fifa World Cup Opening Ceremony, its also about presenting a multi-sport and lifestyle talk-show. More recently, Kabelo was sworn in as a pastor and has been investing in enriching the spiritual journeys of many. He joins Nhlanhla Sehume as this week’s special guest in the spotlight.
