In the Spotlight Khuli Chana

View descriptionShare

Khuli Chana is a renowned figure in the world of Motswako music, a genre that blends various musical influences and powerful messages in languages like Setswana, English, and other South African dialects, which he dubs "Tswenglish." He's not a newcomer to the music scene, though. In the early '90s, Khuli Chana, along with Kay-G, formed the duo "Jazzzadaz" and later joined forces with Towdee Mac to create the group Morafe. In 2009, Khuli Chana launched his debut solo album, "The Motswako Originator," featuring hit tracks like "Tswakstikem," "SthandwaSam," "Freshe," and "No More Hunger," which dominated the airwaves and earned him numerous awards and nominations. Khuli Chana also clinched Best Rap Album and Best Male Artist at the 19th annual award ceremony. His journey in the music world is nothing short of remarkable! He joins us as our special guest In the Spotlight.
