Dudu Busani Dube is one of the most renowned authors of South Africa, with a journalism background which anchored her writing career. Since leaving journalism she has authored books titled “Hlomu The Wife”, “Zandile The Resolute”, and “Naledi His Love” which appeal to many women readers. Her series has now become the inspiration behind the popular telenovela The Wife. When she first wrote her stories, she had no idea how far they would go. She says when she first authored the popular series she did not imagine that it would one day become the first ever South African telenovela created for the streaming service, Showmax.  In this edition of “In The Spotlight” we spend some time with the talented Dudu Busani- Dube.
