View descriptionShare

The health risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic have set this current financial crisis apart from past economic downturns. The hardest hit women-dominated industries include the services sector, with approximately 31% of all employed women. The occupations that women undertake are at a higher risk of losing their income sources. In the next half hour we discuss the above findings by Dr. Jacqui Mosomi’s research paper and what the broader implications of the effects of Covid-19 more particularly on women.
