Department of Women concerned over challenges women face in accessing justice

View descriptionShare

The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities has expressed serious concern regarding the persistent barriers South African women face when attempting to access the justice system. The department warns that these ongoing legal hurdles do more than just deny rights; they actively stifle economic participation, creating a cycle of exclusion that prevents women from fully engaging in the country’s economy. Mondli Makhanya spoke to Mmapaseka Steve Letsike Deputy Minister for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities.
