Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu, better known as Oscar Mbo, was born in Pretoria, South Africa, but grew up in Kriel, a small mining town in Mpumalanga. Raised in a family with a musical background, Oscar was exposed to various genres of music from a young age. His parents were gospel enthusiasts, while his siblings favoured hip-hop and R&B.
