Nomsa Manaka is a well-known Soweto-born dancer, choreographer and actress who runs The Nomsa Manaka Dance Studio operating from the Funda Centre in Diepkloof.. Through her annual Dancing Out Of Cancer initiative, a compelling traditional, urban, and African contemporary dance showcase, she celebrates survivors and raising funds for those who are still fighting cancer. Nomsa has beaten cancer twice, and in 2016 was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer.

Zimbabwe’s cabinet has officially backed draft legislation aimed at amending the constitution to extend presidential terms from five to seven years. This pivotal change would effectively allow President Emmerson Mnangagwa to remain in office until 2030. According to a cabinet statement, the amendments are intended to "enhance political stability and policy continuity," theoretically providing the government with the necessary timeframe to see long-term development programs through to completion.
