On today’s culture corner we want to pay homage to Lucky Dube. He was a South African reggae virtuoso and devoted Rastafarian who left an indelible mark on the world. His music resonated globally, amassing record sales that secured him the prestigious title of Best-Selling African Musician at the 1996 World Music Awards. Through his soul-stirring lyrics, Dube artfully shed light on the challenges faced by South Africans and the broader African community, effectively bridging borders and cultures with his universal messages. Over a span of 25 years, he crafted an astonishing 22 albums, solidifying his legacy as Africa's unparalleled reggae luminary, a testament to his enduring impact on the world's musical landscape.
