In this conversation, we talk about the state and regulation of the cross-border bus transport system in South Africa, particularly looking at the establishment and running of illicit bus ranks in the Johannesburg – adverse effects of these ranks on the economy, measures to curb illicit cross border bus operations and ranks, infrastructure for bus services in the city and public transport subsidizing.
