Seven South Africans have been added to Interpol's list of the world's most wanted criminals. According to the Interpol red list, those South Africans are currently wanted on a series of charges—ranging from murder to armed robbery and even drug trafficking. Thousands of lawbreakers from around the world are featured on the infamous 'wall of shame'. Interpol has handed down directives which can be used to support extradition requests. In March 2022, the brothers Atul and Rajesh Gupta were arrested following the issuing of a red notice by Interpol.
