The Constitutional Assembly, democratically elected in 1994, adopted our National Constitution on 8 May 1996. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the document former President Thabo Mbeki reflected on the formation of the constitution, recent attacks on the integrity of the judiciary by former president, Jacob Zuma, who suggested that the Constitution subverted the will of the people.
