Every day is different. You’re constantly researching new stories, interviewing new people, reporting on the daily events around the world and we all know that the news never stops.

So how does anyone survive in such a cut throat industry?

My guest today, Amber Sherlock has proven through her decades of industry experience that she thrives in this high stakes environment. 

But it hasn’t been without tremendous challenges.

In fact, when Amber was 34 weeks pregnant and had been working 34 days in a row, her waters suddenly broke. She continued to present live segments for multiple hours before ultimately going to the hospital to deliver her baby.

Talk about commitment.

Today on the podcast we talk about what it’s like to work in a newsroom, being female in what was for a very long time a male dominated field, and how Amber has stood the test of time.
