We’re getting to know the man behind the music. He’s a singer, songwriter and producer who has
carved out his own space by blending the sounds of Kwaito, Amapiano and Barcadi, bringing together
infectious beats and stories that connect with everyday life. From Mmakau near Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria,
Paks Mocheso has been on his musical journey since 2001, and he’s continued to evolve as an artist and
producer. He’s currently on the road promoting his latest single, Mawaza, featuring 015 MusiQ, Van City
MusiQ and Nicky, a song about love, relationships and the impact of dishonesty. This morning we talk about
his journey, the kind of music he creates, where his sound comes from, his latest single, and what’s next for
him as he works towards his upcoming EP.
