There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep can’t fix. You wake up tired, you go through the motions,
you show up for work, family and everyone who needs you but inside, you’re running on empty. Emotional burnout is what happens when your mind has been carrying more than it can handle for too long, but life refuses to slow down. The bills still need to be paid, the deadlines still exist, people still need you, and somehow, you’re expected to keep going. So, what happens when you’re mentally exhausted, but life won’t stop. How do we recognise that we’re burnt out before we completely break down, and more importantly, how do we begin to recover when we can’t simply press pause on life.
