We turn our attention to growing concerns around the state of education in Gauteng, following recent reports highlighting how rising learner enrolment is placing immense pressure on already strained school infrastructure. According to Lebogang Maile, the province’s education system is battling overcrowded classrooms, a shortage of thousands of classrooms, and ageing or inadequate facilities.
