The Inspector General at the Department of Labour, Aggy Moila talks to Ntokozo Mazibuko on the inspections that were conducted in workplaces during the past 30 days. Only 60% of the companies that were inspected are complying with regulations to curb the rate in which the infection spreads. The Department has raised major concerns over noncompliance and that making up majority of the non-compliant workplaces were government workforces. To ensure that more companies comply with the regulations, the Department aims at hiring 500 more inspectors during the duration of the pandemic.
