In commemoration of Youth Month in 2018, we remember not only the young lives with which our ransom price was paid but about the many nameless, faceless youth who die every day in the footnotes of our society. 

In a deeply emotive documentary, ‘Sunflowers of Coligny’, POWER 98.7‘s Denzil Taylor and Linda Manganye remember Matlhomola Moshoeu and the story of Coligny, a story of two different worlds.

‘Sunflowers of Coligny’ looks at the life and death of Matlhomola Moshweu, a young boy who was allegedly killed by two white farmers for allegedly stealing sunflowers. More than that, the documentary is about highlighting the importance of a name, of giving dignity even in death.
